Dean is a manufacturer of both electric and acoustic guitars. Compared to some of the companies, Dean Guitars are pretty new. But, that doesn t make their acoustic guitars any less remarkable. This is a company that was started by a teenager named Dean Zelinsky whose aspiration it was to create guitars that looked and sounded different than other guitars on the market.

This attitude eventually became their claim to fame. But before their uniquely shaped guitars could catch on, they had to be embraced by the musicians. However, thanks to a dedicated corps of shop owners and people who believed in the product, musicians started to discover the guitar and once they played it, they were hooked. Many of these original players are still dedicated customers.

In the 80 s, after he was in business for ten years, Dean Zelinsky sold the company and the rights to the guitars to Oscar Medeiros. He then sold the company yet again the 90 s. During his ownership, Medeiros also made many contributions to the Dean line.

Armadillo Enterprises, the new owners, eventually contacted Zelinsky to once again become part of the company. He works for Dean Guitars as an executive and a creative assistant. Die hard followers of the Dean label are happy that Zelinsky is once again part of the company.

Dean Guitars line of acoustic guitars contains both unique and traditional acoustic guitar styles. They have a v-shaped acoustic called the V Coustic as well as both traditional and traditional cutaway models. Some of their other acoustic guitar series include the Artist, Exoticglass, Exoticwood, Tradition, Evocouostic, Gypsy, Espana, and the Schenker models. When first learning to play guitar, one of the biggest decisions that people face is whether they want to start learning with an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar. Both have distinct characteristics and sounds, and favor certain styles and genres of music over the other. So how should one go about making this choice between electric and acoustic? For some it might be obvious, but for others, there are some major factors that should be considered that we will explore. Let’s start with electric guitars.

Electric guitars are used largely for rock music, and unlike acoustic guitars are very forgiving. This can be both a good and a bad thing. What I mean by forgiving, is you can strum a chord slightly wrong, but with the distortion and other effects that can be achieved with electric guitars, it will be almost unnoticeable. This is good since your playing will sound that much better, but bad in that it will make it difficult for you to improve on your technical skills as a guitar player. What you can’t hear, you can’t fix. One of really great things about electric guitars that I just mentioned however is the ability to add distortion, or other effects to your playing. This allows for a large number of different sounds, which can be really fun to play with. If you want to rock out, you will probably want an electric guitar.

Acoustic guitars are used in a number of different types of music, and can be very versatile in their own right. Acoustic guitars are often used for blues, jazz, country, and even occasionally some rock. It’s just a matter of how you play it. Acoustic guitars have a much purer sound, forcing you to play notes and chords cleanly, thus improving on your technical playing ability. Once you begin to learn more chords and become more proficient at picking and strumming, you can begin to experiment with how they sound. Do you strum them hard, or softly, or strum a couple of times, pick some notes, then strum a couple more. The key aspect of acoustic guitars to remember is that the notes ring clear, making it not only great sounding, but great for learning on.

There is a third choice you could look into, and that is getting an electric/acoustic guitar. This is an acoustic guitar with a build in pick-up for plugging into a guitar amp. I have personally not used one, but they are worth looking into if you are not sure which guitar type you want. The benefit of getting an electric/acoustic guitar is that you can switch it up to play any genre of music. I believe that the quality of sound is not as good as a normal acoustic or normal electric guitar, so you may sacrifice sound quality for versatility. Most guitarists end up learning on an acoustic guitar, then moving on to an electric guitar if they want to play some rock. In my opinion, this is the smartest way to learn, but if you just wanna rock, then you know what to do.

Orville Gibson, the founder of the Gibson Guitar Corporation, started making mandolins in 1894. From the beginning, Gibson established himself as a quality instrument builder who added his own innovations. His mandolins were modified in such a way that they had a richer sound.

Before Gibson could really watch the success of the company take off, namely their guitars, he died of leukemia in 1918. However, the legacy of innovation did not end with his death. The Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Manufacturing Company, now called the Gibson Guitar Corporation, started to build guitars a little differently than other manufacturers all throughout the 20s and 30s.

In 1936, Gibson launched what is considered by some to be one of the first electric guitars that achieved wide spread acceptance. The electric Spanish style guitar merged design elements of a Spanish guitar and turned it into an electric.

One of their most famous guitar styles is the Les Paul. The story of the legendary Les Paul guitar starts in 1952 when the company worked with the accomplished guitarist, Les Paul, to create this signature model. They discontinued the style after some time but resurrected it in the late 60s.

The company came under new ownership due to some financial difficulties. They had some financial difficulty and looked to the new leaders to move the company in a positive direction. Henry E. Juszkiewicz, David H. Berryman and Gary A. Zebrowski not only saved the company, but they are also the reason why Gibson is still so successful.

Almost all of Gibsons acoustic guitars can be classified in one of seven categories. These are the Super Jumbos, the Jumbos, the Round Shoulder Dreadnought, the Square Shoulder Dreadnought, their Small Bodies guitars, the Signature Artists Series, and their custom guitars. About the Gibson Gospel

A lot of guitar bang for the buck. I cannot imagine playing anything else. No desire to upgrade or to see what else is out there. I am fully satisfied with the gospel. If it was lost or stolen I would find me another after a nice long cry. This is the only acoustic guitar I own, and, hopefully ever will. Its absolutely great. It just kind of sits there begging to be played, and who am I to deny.

Great sound – less boxy, rhythmic and classic for playing in the band or solo flatpick strumming than J45, but fuller bottom end, better projection and string articulation, as expected with longer scale. Big projected, balanced sound for strumming (richer and less trebly/tinny than Taylor 310 and 410) and better for fingerpicking and capo work than J45. If you could pick a single guitar for the night, Id prefer it to the J45 and 310 for live unaccompanied stuff. With B-band, very versatile when run through the board. For the price – about as well rounded a dred as you can find.
